Food & Provision in dreams
Bread, milk, honey, dates and the foods the Qur'an and Sunnah give a meaning of their own.
Food is where the Sunnah is clearest. The Prophet read a cup of milk as knowledge, and Abu Bakr read honey and butter dripping from a cloud as the Qur'an, a reading the Prophet partly corrected. That makes milk, honey and dates the firmest anchors in the whole dictionary.

The Qur'an names them in its stories and similes, but no hadith reads them in a dream, so those entries say what rests on a verse and what rests on convention. Eating has its own entry, which sets out what the texts say about food in a dream and what they leave open.
