Prostration (sujud) in a dream
The prostration is the lowest posture the body knows, and in Islam it is precisely there that the servant stands highest. The interpreters read the dream through that paradox: to go down in sujud is to rise.
In the readings handed down from Ibn Sirin and an-Nabulsi, prostration (سجود) was read as nearness to Allah, humility rewarded, victory through submission, and acceptance of one’s repentance or plea. Prostrating to other than Allah reverses the reading: abasement before whatever received the bow.

The tradition remembers that the servant is nearest to his Lord in prostration, and the dream carries that promise.
